Repair Services

🔨

Bent Wheel Straightening

We use hydraulic pressing equipment to re-profile bent alloy wheels back to their original shape. Minor to moderate bends on the barrel — from pothole impacts, curb hits, or road debris — are typically repairable. After straightening, the wheel is tested for run-out and balance before going back on the vehicle.

Curb Rash Repair

Scuffs, gouges, and scrapes on the face or lip of the wheel from curb contact. We sand down the damage, fill deep gouges, match the original finish, and refinish the affected area. The result is a wheel that looks like it was never damaged.

Cracked Wheel Assessment

Not all cracked wheels can be repaired safely. We inspect the location and severity of every crack before making a recommendation. Hairline cracks near the bead seat may be weldable; structural cracks through spokes or the center bore require replacement. We'll give you an honest answer.

💨

Bead Seat Repair

A damaged or corroded bead seat — the inner edge where the tire seals against the wheel — can cause chronic slow air loss even on a tire with no puncture. We clean, smooth, and seal the bead seat to restore an airtight seal.

Wheel Refinishing

After structural repair, we can refinish the wheel to match the original finish or give it a completely new look with powder coating. We offer color changes, gloss and matte finishes, and multi-color designs.

Post-Repair Balance & Mount

Every repaired wheel is balanced before it goes back on your vehicle. If we removed the tire for the repair, we remount and balance it on our Coats equipment. TPMS sensors are reinstalled and reprogrammed as needed.

What's Repairable vs. What Isn't

We get asked this question more than any other — and the honest answer is: it depends. Not on what you want to hear, but on where the damage is and how severe it is. Here's how we think about it.

Usually Repairable
  • Bent barrel from pothole or curb impact (minor to moderate)
  • Curb rash on face or lip
  • Oxidized or pitted bead seat causing slow leaks
  • Hairline cracks near the bead seat (weld + refinish)
  • Chipped or scuffed finish
Typically Not Repairable
  • Severe bends near spoke bases or mounting flange
  • Structural cracks through spokes or center bore
  • Wheels that have been repaired multiple times in the same spot
  • Bent center-lock or multi-piece wheels with compromised hardware
  • Wheels with internal stress fractures (not visible, detected with inspection)

We don't push repairs for the sake of a sale. If a wheel isn't safe after repair, we'll tell you and help you find a replacement. We stock and can source wheels for most makes and models.

Signs of Wheel Damage

  • Vibration felt through the steering wheel or floor
  • Rhythmic thumping at highway speeds
  • Tire on one corner keeps losing air (no puncture)
  • Visible deformation — bent lip, dent in barrel
  • Scuff marks or deep gouges on wheel face
  • Handling feels vague or pulls to one side

Wheel Repair Questions

Most bent alloy wheels can be straightened, but not all. Minor to moderate bends on the inner or outer barrel — from potholes or curb hits — can typically be repressed flat. Severe bends near spoke bases or the mounting flange may compromise structural integrity and require replacement. We inspect every damaged wheel and only recommend repair when the result will be safe and reliable.

Signs of a bent wheel include: a vibration or shimmy felt through the steering wheel or seat at highway speeds, a rhythmic thumping sound, a tire that keeps going flat on the same corner with no puncture, or visible deformation when you look at the wheel straight-on. We can mount the wheel on a spin balancer and immediately measure any run-out.

It depends on the location and severity. Hairline cracks near the bead seat can sometimes be welded and refinished. Structural cracks through spokes or the center bore are generally not safely repairable — a repaired structural crack can fail under load. We won't tell you a cracked wheel is safe if it isn't. When repair isn't a viable option, we help you find a replacement.

Most bent wheel straightening is done the same day. Repairs that include refinishing or powder coating take longer — typically a few days to a week depending on current shop load. Curb rash repair varies by the depth and area of the damage. We'll give you a specific estimate before starting any work.
