Tire Dismount & Mount
We use Coats tire changers — professional-grade machines designed to handle any tire and wheel combination without damaging the wheel finish. Coats machines are particularly safe for custom wheels, low-profile tires, and run-flats that require extra care during mounting.
We mount tires you bring in as well as new tires purchased from us — including tires bought online. Installation labor is $25 per tire.
Standard Spin Balancing
Every tire we install gets balanced on our Coats wheel balancers. The machine spins the wheel, measures weight distribution, and tells us exactly where and how much weight to add. Proper balance eliminates steering wheel vibration and prevents cupping and uneven tread wear.
Included free with every tire installation. No extra charge.
Coats 1600 HD Balancers
Every balance at both shops runs on a Coats 1600 HD computer balancer. It spins the assembly at road speed and calculates exactly where the counterweights go — the same machine whether you're bringing in one tire or a full set.
If a vibration survives a good balance, the cause is something weights can't fix — a bent rim, a damaged tire, or worn suspension. We'll diagnose which and tell you what it takes.
Bead Balance Beads
Bead balance beads (also called dynamic balancing beads) are small ceramic or glass beads installed inside the tire. As the wheel spins, they migrate to offset any imbalance — and continue to self-correct as the tire wears over time.
Particularly popular for trucks, SUVs, and off-road vehicles where conventional wheel weights can be knocked off and road conditions change the balance point. Ask us if bead balance is right for your setup.
Bead Seat Cleaning & Sealing
Slow air loss after a new tire install is often a bead leak — not a puncture. On alloy wheels, the bead seat (where the tire seals against the wheel) develops oxidation and corrosion over time that prevents an airtight seal.
We clean the bead seat area, remove corrosion, and apply a bead sealer that fills any surface imperfections and restores the seal. This is included when we identify a bead leak — we don't just reinflate and hope.
TPMS Service
We check and service TPMS sensors on every tire installation. If your sensor is working, we reset the system after mounting. If a sensor is failed or battery-dead, we replace and program it. We don't hand cars back with a TPMS warning light on.

Why Coats Machines Matter
Not all tire changers are created equal. Entry-level machines use aggressive clamping and metal-on-metal contact that can chip or scratch custom wheel finishes — especially on low-profile tires where the bead is close to the rim edge.
Coats tire changers and wheel balancers are professional-grade equipment used by dealerships and performance shops. They have nylon-tipped clamps and bead breaker systems that protect wheel finishes during the dismount and mount process.
If you've paid for custom wheels, you want them installed on equipment that won't scratch them. That's what we use.

Yes, we install customer-supplied tires — no hedging, no attitude about it. Whether they came from Tire Rack, Amazon, Discount Tire Direct, a marketplace seller, or the trunk of your last car, bring them in and we'll mount and balance them. Installation labor is $25 per tire.
What $25 Per Tire Covers
- Dismount of the old tire and mount of the new one on Coats equipment
- Spin balance — we don't charge separately for balancing
- New rubber valve stem, or TPMS sensor service and relearn where the wheel has sensors
- Bead seat cleaning so the new tire actually seals
- Torque to spec and a pressure set to the door placard
Two state-required fees are added per tire and shown as separate lines on your invoice: the CA tire fee of $1.75 (nontaxable) and a tire disposal fee of $3.00 (taxable) if you're leaving the old tires with us. Take the old tires home and the disposal fee comes off.

Bring the shipping confirmation with you. We're a working shop, not a warehouse, so let us know roughly when you plan to come in after the tires land.
What We Won't Install
Three things we'll turn down, and we'd rather tell you before you buy than after:
- Dry-rotted or aged tires. Sidewall cracking, or a DOT date code over six years old. It doesn't matter that the tread is full — the rubber is done.
- Wrong size for the vehicle. A size that doesn't clear the suspension, overloads the load rating, or throws the speedometer off. Online sizing tools get this wrong constantly.
- Damaged tires. Sidewall bubbles, previous improper repairs, exposed cord, or shipping damage. We'll show you what we found.
If we turn a tire down, you don't pay for it. Inspecting them costs you nothing.
Is buying online and having us install actually cheaper?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. On premium tires in common sizes, an online sale price plus $25 a tire often does beat buying locally. Where it stops working: shipping costs on truck and SUV tires can run $20 or more per tire, an online road hazard warranty is usually a separate purchase, and if a tire arrives damaged or in the wrong size you're handling the return yourself while your car sits. Tires bought here come with free rotations for life and a set-of-four discount — $25 off under $500, $50 off at $500 and up — which closes most of the gap.
Our honest advice: get a quote from us before you click buy. We've bought tires wholesale for over 35 years, and any brand, model, or size that isn't on the shelf we can usually get same-day or next-day. Sometimes we're the cheaper option and you didn't know it. Sometimes we're not, and we'll mount yours for $25 a tire without making it weird.
New tires are also the right time for an alignment — a misaligned car will wear out the set you just bought.
