Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use this website, request a quote, receive text messages from us, or have work done at either of our Long Beach shops. Please read them. If you don't agree with them, don't use the site. Effective date: August 23, 2026.

Who we are

Ochoa's Tire Service is a family-owned tire and auto repair business founded in Long Beach, California in 1988. We operate two locations, both registered as Automotive Repair Dealers with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair:

  • 6595 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, CA 90805 — ARD License #297481
  • 6990 Paramount Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90805 — ARD License #302281

In these terms, "we," "us," and "Ochoa's" mean Ochoa's Tire Service. "You" means the person using this site or bringing us a vehicle.

What this website is

This site describes our services, our pricing, and our shops. It's information, not a contract. Nothing on this site is a binding offer to sell you a tire or perform a repair at a particular price.

We work hard to keep prices, specifications, and availability accurate, and we publish real prices because we think you deserve to see them before you call. But prices change, tire supply changes, and mistakes happen. The price that binds us is the one on the written estimate we hand you at the shop — not the one cached in your browser.

Quote requests and appointment requests

When you submit a quote request, a service request, or a fleet application through this site, you're asking us to get in touch. You are not booking a confirmed appointment and you are not agreeing to buy anything. Nothing is scheduled until someone from the shop confirms it with you directly.

Please give us accurate information — especially your vehicle's year, make, model, and tire size. A quote built on the wrong size isn't worth much to either of us.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we'll text you about your quote request, your appointment, or the status of your vehicle. We do not send marketing blasts, and we don't sign you up for a recurring campaign.

  • Message frequency varies and depends on your request.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's rates are between you and your carrier.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or just call the shop.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out of texts doesn't cancel your appointment or your order — it just means we'll call you instead. How we handle your number is covered in our Privacy Policy; the short version is that we never share it with anyone for their marketing.

Estimates, authorization, and payment

California law requires an Automotive Repair Dealer to give you a written estimate before starting work, and to get your authorization before exceeding it. We follow that, and we'd follow it anyway. You'll get a written estimate, you'll authorize it, and if we find something else once the vehicle is apart, we stop and call you before we spend another dollar of your money.

The price we quote is the price you pay for the work you authorized. Payment is due when the work is complete and before the vehicle leaves, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing or you're using a financing plan.

Some jobs require diagnostic time before anyone can give you a real number. If a diagnostic fee applies, we'll tell you what it is before we start.

Parts and tires shipped to the shop

You're welcome to have tires, wheels, or parts shipped to either location for us to install. We ask that you come in beforehand and leave a copy of the receipt or order confirmation showing what's coming, how many pieces, and roughly when it should arrive. Without that, we have no way to know a delivery is yours.

We are not responsible for shipped items. We don't inspect, count, or sign for the contents of a carrier's delivery on your behalf, and we accept no liability for items that arrive broken, damaged, incomplete, or that never arrive at all. Claims for damaged or missing goods are between you, the seller, and the shipping carrier. We're glad to tell you what showed up and what condition the boxes were in, but the claim is yours to file.

We'll hold your delivery for a reasonable period while you schedule the install. Please arrange your appointment close to the delivery date — we're a working shop, not a warehouse, and we have limited room to store customer freight.

We'll always tell you before installing customer-supplied parts whether the item is correct for your vehicle and whether we're able to install it. Some items we can't install at all — see the note on TPMS sensors under Warranties.

Keeping and picking up your vehicle

We do not charge storage fees. We don't offer vehicle storage as a service, and we don't tack on a daily charge while your car sits with us.

Some jobs genuinely take more than one day, and in those cases your vehicle stays with us overnight until the work is finished — at no additional charge. We'll tell you up front if a job is going to run multiple days.

Once we tell you your vehicle is ready, please pick it up promptly so we can keep the lot clear for the next customer. If a vehicle is left with us long after the work is done and paid for, we'll contact you using the number you gave us. Vehicles left unclaimed for an extended period may eventually be subject to a lien and disposal under California law — but that's a last resort, and we'll have tried to reach you well before it comes to that.

Warranties

New tires. New tires carry the manufacturer's warranty — treadwear, road hazard, and workmanship terms are set by the tire maker, not by us. We'll tell you what a given tire's warranty covers before you buy, and we'll help you file a claim if you need one.

Used tires. We inspect every used tire for tread depth, age, sidewall damage, and prior repairs before it goes on a vehicle, and we won't sell one that fails inspection. Used tires carry no manufacturer warranty and are sold as-is.

Parts we supply. Parts we sell and install are covered for 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date on your invoice. Where the manufacturer's own warranty is longer, the manufacturer's terms apply and we'll help you file the claim. Where it is shorter, our 24-month / 24,000-mile coverage still stands.

TPMS sensors we sell are covered for 2 years. They arrive programmed and relearn to your vehicle without issue.

Our labor. Our workmanship on a covered part is warranted for the same 24 months or 24,000 miles. If a part we supplied fails within that window, we replace the part and redo the labor at no charge to you.

Customer-supplied parts. When you bring your own part or have one shipped to us, the part carries no warranty from us — take that up with whoever sold it. Our workmanship on the installation is still covered for 24 months or 24,000 miles, but we don't cover the cost of a second installation caused by your part failing. This includes TPMS sensors bought elsewhere: if they arrive unprogrammed, we often can't program them at all, because many require their manufacturer's own software to write a sensor ID.

Warranties don't cover damage from road hazards outside the tire's warranty terms, improper inflation, collision, racing, off-road use beyond a tire's rating, neglected maintenance, or work performed by another shop. Coverage applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Financing

Financing is offered by outside companies — Snap Finance, Acima, Affirm, and Klarna. You apply directly with them, they decide whether to approve you, and their agreement governs your payments. We are not a lender and we are not a party to your financing contract. Questions about your balance, your payment schedule, or your approval go to them, not to us.

Site content

The text, photos, logos, and design on this site belong to Ochoa's Tire Service. You're welcome to read it, print it, link to it, and share it. Don't copy it wholesale onto another business's website or use our name and logo in a way that suggests we endorse or are affiliated with something we're not.

Brand names such as Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Falken, and Nexen belong to their respective owners. We reference them because we sell and install their tires.

Reviews and anything you send us

If you send us a review, a photo of your build, a comment, or a suggestion, you're giving us permission to use it in our marketing with credit to your first name. Don't send us anything that isn't yours to share. We can remove content we consider abusive, deceptive, or unlawful.

Links to other sites

This site links to third parties — financing partners, tire manufacturers, Google, Yelp, and others. We don't control those sites and we're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Disclaimer about the website

This website is provided as-is. The maintenance guidance, buying guides, and blog articles here are general information for a general audience — they are not a diagnosis of your vehicle. Every car is different, and no article can inspect your brakes. If something feels wrong with your vehicle, have it looked at in person.

We don't promise the site will always be available, error-free, or free of interruption.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by California law, Ochoa's Tire Service is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website. Nothing in this section limits our responsibility for the repair work we actually perform, and nothing here waives any right you have under the California Automotive Repair Act or other consumer protection law. Those rights are yours and we're not trying to take them.

Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If we have a dispute, let's try to solve it at the counter first — call the shop and ask for the owner. If that doesn't work, the matter belongs in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

You may also contact the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, which licenses and regulates automotive repair dealers in this state.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
