Suspension & Steering Repair
A worn suspension doesn't just give you a rough ride — it affects steering, tire wear, and braking. We diagnose the root cause first so we're not replacing parts that don't need replacing. Long Beach since 1988.
What we repair
Full Suspension Service
From a single worn sway bar link to a complete front-end rebuild, we handle it all. We work on daily drivers, trucks, performance cars, and custom builds.
Shocks & Struts
We replace shocks and struts on all makes and models — OEM replacement, performance upgrades, and coilover kits. Every strut job is followed by an alignment check.
Control Arms
Worn control arms cause wandering, pulling, and clunking over bumps. We replace control arms with quality parts — upper, lower, and adjustable aftermarket units for modified vehicles.
Ball Joints
A failing ball joint is one of the most dangerous suspension failures. We inspect ball joints for play and wear, and replace them before they become a safety issue.
Sway Bar Links & Bushings
Clunking over speed bumps or turning? Sway bar links and end links are a common cause. Fast to diagnose, affordable to fix. We carry links and bushings for most vehicles.
Tie Rods & Steering
Loose or wandering steering often comes from worn tie rod ends or a worn steering rack. We diagnose the source and repair it — not just the symptom.
Wheel Alignment
Alignment is the final step on every suspension job. We have computerized 4-wheel alignment equipment. Proper alignment protects your new parts and your tires.
Vehicles we work on
All Builds, Stock to Custom
We work on everything from bone-stock family sedans to slammed lowriders, lifted trucks, and performance sport compacts. Long Beach has one of the most diverse car cultures in Southern California — we've built our suspension experience around it.
For modified vehicles, we understand that not every part is OEM. We work with aftermarket coilovers, adjustable control arms, camber kits, and custom setups. Tell us what you've got and we'll tell you what we can do.
We also specialize in trucks and SUVs — both stock ride-height and lifted applications. Leveling kits, lift kits, UCAs, and alignment on lifted trucks are all things we do regularly.
How to Know You Need Suspension Work
- Rough, bouncy ride
The car hops and bounces after bumps instead of settling quickly. Worn shocks or struts.
- Clunking or knocking
Noise over bumps, potholes, or when turning. Usually ball joints, sway bar links, or worn strut mounts.
- Pulling or drifting
The car wanders or pulls to one side. Could be alignment, a worn tie rod, or uneven strut wear.
- Uneven tire wear
Cupping, scalloping, or wear on one edge. Worn shocks let the tire bounce instead of rolling flat.
- Nose dives when braking
Front end drops hard when you brake. Worn front struts — and it extends your stopping distance.
- Visible oil leak on shocks
If you can see fluid weeping from a shock body, it's worn out and losing damping ability.

Common questions
Suspension FAQ
Bouncing excessively over bumps, nose-diving when braking, leaning hard in corners, or a rough ride. Uneven tire wear is another sign — worn shocks cause the tire to bounce instead of staying flat on the road.
Shock or strut replacement typically runs $200–$500 per axle. Control arms, ball joints, and sway bar work vary. We inspect first and give you an honest quote before touching anything.
Almost always yes. Any time we replace struts, control arms, or ball joints, the alignment angles shift. We recommend a 4-wheel alignment after suspension work to protect your new parts and tires.
Yes. We work on lowered cars, lifted trucks, and custom setups regularly. Coilovers, lowering springs, lift kits, UCAs, camber kits — if you've got a modified suspension, bring it in.
Generally yes. If one shock is worn, the other on the same axle has the same mileage and is close behind. Replacing in pairs ensures even handling and prevents pulling to one side.
SUSPENSION DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
Vibrations, clunks, pulling — suspension issues get misdiagnosed all the time, and customers end up paying for parts that didn't need replacing. We diagnose first, then we fix only what's actually wrong.
DIAGNOSIS BEFORE PARTS
We don't throw parts at a problem. We test, inspect, and isolate the actual cause before recommending any replacement.
ONE SIDE OR BOTH?
If only one strut or control arm is worn, we'll tell you. We'll also tell you the trade-off of doing both sides at once — your call.
WE SHOW YOU WHAT'S WORN
Cracked bushings, leaking struts, worn ball joints — you'll see the issue on your vehicle before any work is approved.
EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS
Our technicians have been with us for 10+ years. They've seen these problems hundreds of times. That's the difference between a guess and an answer.
